Christie Raises $6.2 Million For Reelection Bid

May 7, 2013 by Allen Carter in Business with 0 Comments

Northern, WI 05/07/2013 (tradewatchmedia) – Chris Christie, the Republican Governor of the New Jersey state, has managed to raise a record $6.2 million for his re-election efforts.  The governor has already received higher contributions from the donors more than any other candidate of New Jersey. The contributions had almost reached the $6.8 million raised by Chris Christie for his previous election in 2009 and this is excluding the contribution from public matching funds as the governor opted to forgo the same.

Success Of Chris Christie
This extra ordinary collection of funds from 14,260 donors is primarily attributed to the strong leadership style followed by Chris Christie. His effective leadership of the state of New Jersey in his present term as governor continues to draw supporters from the entire state and outside. The governor’s responsive actions taken to enable the state recover from Hurricane Sandy further raised his approval ratings to as high as 74 percent. The Quinnipac poll conducted in April 24, 2013 gathered nearly 67 percent support to the governor, which included 73 percent of independent voters and 46 percent of Democrats.

Confidence Of Buono
Christie has raised contributions of almost three times more than his Democratic opponent, Barbara Buono, the state Senator of New Jersey. Though the democratic opponent could not garner effective contributions to match that of Chris Christie, Barbara Buono is confident that she would finally compete and win the November elections.  However Christie’s commitment to the development of the New Jersey state and his decision to turn down the request for President runs in 2011 further add to the chances of the governor’s success
